Cade's family

On the Comanche–Brown County line since 1873.

The Outdoor Loving Lifestyle

Cade's family came to the Comanche–Brown County line in 1873, and they still own and ranch that land. Cade grew up on the family ranch in Blanket, and his love of farming brought him to the fertile, irrigable soils around De Leon.

Cade and Jessica established Cade Richmond Hay, Land & Cattle in 2001 and married in 2003. Sterling, Jackson and Lillie are all part of the operation today, and Sterling plans to join the operation with Sterling Superior Pellets.

Cattleman and hay producer

Cade was raised on his family's ranch in Blanket, Texas. He graduated from Tarleton State University in 2001 with a degree in Agricultural Business and has spent his career in agricultural production.

He takes great pride in growing the registered Brangus herd and raising quality Angus, Brangus and Hereford bulls. Cattle health management, transparency, soil and conservation are his life's work.

In 2012, Texas Farm Bureau named Cade an Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher. He has also served as an area director on the Comanche County Farm Service Agency board.

Rancher, broker and doctoral researcher

Jessica began selling real estate in Central Texas in 2005 and eventually grew her business into a successful RE/MAX franchise, RE/MAX Lone Star. A life-altering health issue led her to close the agency and put her health first.

That recovery took her back to school. Jessica has completed her coursework for a PhD in Animal and Natural Resource Sciences at Tarleton State University's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, with an emphasis in agricultural economics, and is currently researching and writing her final dissertation on what drives agricultural land values and how the Texas farm economy has changed since COVID.

It also changed how her family eats. Cutting out preservatives became central to her health, and together with Cade's lifetime of animal husbandry, it led the Richmonds to raise their own beef from parents to package. R-Raised Beef grew from that.

Today Jessica is back in real estate as a broker with MyTexasLifestyle, focused on homes, ranch and lifestyle properties. She and Cade live on their farm near De Leon, Texas, within driving range of Tarleton State University, with their children Sterling, Jackson and Lillie.
